The Master Cleanse diet plan

This is a very common trend in southern California. It is a concoction of maple syrup, squeezed lemons, and cayenne pepper which you drink to cleanse your bowels and GI tract. According to this plan, you should also drink herbal tea at night and salty water in the morning upon waking up. However, with only 650 to 1300 calories per day, it lacks essential body nutrients like iron, protein, calcium, and zinc. Dietitians therefore don’t recommend following it for more than two days.
